SHEFFIELD CENTRAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL: OLD BOY'S ASSOCIATION.

Introduction.
Well, it's certainly taken a long time but at last the CTS Old Boy's Association has some Internet Web pages, albeit not its own dedicated site.
By that I mean it has not got its own Domain Name; it has been tagged on to mine which is: www.tony-s-jackson.co.uk

Me, being, Tony Jackson, a pupil of the school from 1952 to 1956.

Many years ago Stuart, the Association's Secretary, told me he had hundreds of school photos that he would like to be placed on the Internet so that they would be accessible to the school's pupils.  At present the only way of seeing the photos is by contacting  Stuart or Bill  Mulhearn who have all the photos on a CD.  I remember telling Stuart  that I was willing to do the work but somehow it never happened. Well, a little belatedly I'm making a start.

Whether or not we progress to a dedicated Web Site that is for Stuart and other colleagues to decide but for now I've suggested we do it this way. Tagging it on to mine means there is nil-cost to the Association. ( no domain name to purchase and no Web Hosting service to pay).

Stuart has been to see me twice and we discussed which photographs of our old school should we place on my site.

Stuart told me that many of the class photos he has, may still  be in copyright so initially I will only be uploading non-copyright photographs.

The photos Stuart has given me are quite interesting and anyone who has not already seen them I think will agree.

To make the exercise even more interesting Stuart and I want to involve everyone viewing them to participate.

For each photo, Stuart has provided me with as much information  as he can, but it is incomplete.

If you think you can fill in any of the gaps, e.g. names of  people, dates,  place photo taken etc, please contact me and I will update them.

You can contact me any time on land-line  01246 417590 or by Email:    tony.s.jackson@btinternet.com

Please remember the site is under construction, you are quite likely to click on something and not progress because that page has not been written yet.
